The Regatta. Not just any old Regatta, but Henley Regatta!
Undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world and a highlight of the British summer, social and sporting calendar.
What you may not know, however, is that Leander Pink has been in partnership with Leander Club since 2015 and has been enjoyed at the pinnacle of the English summer during the Henley Regatta.
BUT… This year, as we know has not been like any other. Annus Horribilis has meant not only the closure for so many businesses and the social distancing we now adopt as the new norm, but the cancellation of our social gatherings such as Henley Regatta.
Well, we said no.
Party and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile.
And dying in your bed many years from now,
would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for
one chance, just one chance to come back here as young men and women and tell Covid19 that they may take our lives, but they will never take our
Onlinesocialydistancedzoompartydigitalwinetatsingevents! (or freedom)..
Think it was some Scottish film that said that 😉
In all seriousness.
We wanted to make sure that the season of Henley continues and the Fizz we all know, love and associate with Henley Regatta can continue to be chilled, popped, poured and loved!
We have a number of events for July, for Henley and opportunities for you to take part and enjoy.
We make our first toast on the 3rd of July at 5:30 pm when our very own pink power ranger Trevor Clough will be joined by the esteemed Paul Budd OBE General Manager of Leander Club.
On the 10th of July we are joined by young athletes from Leander Club and aspiring Olympians who are supported by Digby Fine English. Ah, I bet you didn’t know that proceeds from each sale of Leander Pink go to supporting Leander Club and our aspiring athletes. Meet some future Olympians before they are famous 😉
Then on Friday 17th July, you have the opportunity to meet Leander’s Olympians. Those amazing human beings who have reached the pinnacle of their sport, adorning the red white and blue of Great Britain to challenge themselves at the ultimate challenge. Pop a cork, sit back and enjoy some amazing stories.
Finally, at the end of the month, you will have the opportunity to join us for the Digby Fine English Party In the Park. It’s a catchy title so we are keeping it, however, the party will be via zoom, the park will be your garden, but a dress code does apply!
That is right, just like at the regatta itself, to be permitted access, one must look one’s best and one must be in good spirits to engage, enjoy and quaff a few glasses of Leander Pink.
If you are super keen like us, we have a special offer for you to attend all of the Henley season events.
Maybe, just maybe 2020 won’t be that bad after all.
Cheers!
