About
Since our first vintage from the 2009 harvest, Digby Fine English has been delighting wine lovers worldwide with our inimitably sophisticated yet racy sparkling wines.
Digby’s Non Vintage Brut has been flying the flag with British Airways since 2023 and we are the official English fizz of Leander Club, the House of Commons gift shops and HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Navy’s flagship vessel.
Taking seventeenth century adventurer and ‘father of the modern wine bottle’ Sir Kenelm Digby as our inspiration, we champion his courageous and curious spirit. Every bottle is adorned with the Digby toast.

Our wines
A Modern Blending House
Our wines have been enjoyed across the globe, from New York to Tokyo by way of Sydney, Auckland and more. How do we bottle the English spirit so successfully? It comes down to three important facets:
1. Terroir
We work with only the finest grapes. By selecting vineyards for excellence and a cross-section of soil types, we can make wine that is confidently, uniquely English.
2. Blending
A crucial part of sparkling wine production, Trevor blends base wines made from grapes grown across differing terroirs for complexity and depth.
3. Ageing
Our not-so-secret secret ingredient? Time. We love the nuance afforded by extended ageing in the winery. Listening to what the grapes have to say, when they’re ready to say it, dictates when we release our wines to the world.
Sir Ken
A Little Help from History
Digby isn’t just a name. It is a daily reminder to live with courage and curiosity, just like our historical namesake Sir Ken (as we affectionately refer to him).
Sir Kenelm Digby was a seventeenth century adventurer, as famous for his naval expeditions as his alchemy, philosophy, poetry, politics and glamorous wife. He is also revered as the ‘father of the modern wine bottle’ for designing the first wine bottle in modern times, a vessel sturdy enough to replace wine storage and transport in barrel. Ultimately, traditional method sparkling wine became possible, because of Digby’s bottle.
We are inspired by Sir Kenelm’s voracious mind, his bold character and his sense of derring-do, in addition to his vinous legacy – a feat of English engineering. We honour this pluck in the Digby Toast, which adorns the neck of every bottle of Digby Fine English.

Partnerships
At Digby, we take immense pride in our prestigious partnerships, which reflect our commitment to excellence and tradition. We are honoured to collaborate with the House of Commons, British Airways, the Leander Club, and HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Navy’s flagship vessel.
We are the official English fizz of the House Of Commons, and have been for the last 5 years. We are stocked in the gift shop and poured at events. Its an association that we are very proud of.
Established in 1818, Leander Club has cultivated some of the world’s finest rowers, with its athletes consistently competing at the highest levels, including the Olympics. Our partnership started in 2015 and a portion of every bottle sold is used to support these young athletes in their rowing careers.
