This year’s harvest is best characterised as having great ripeness with solid acidity though at a lower yield.  By virtue of the good weather we enjoyed in October we were able to harvest late and that allowed for the development of some delicious flavours to make this a characterful year.

We have declared that it will be a rose year, since the beautiful ripeness in the Pinot Noir has given us the chance to make some gorgeous red base wine to go into our rose blending.  Trevor will take his time (as he usually does) in deciding whether it is a vintage year or not, watching as the base wines develop in the tank between now and bottling next summer.
